LDF stands for “Loot, Division and Failure,” while UDF stands for “Untrustworthy, Dishonesty and Fraud”

In LDF, the ‘F’ may stand for “Front,” but in reality, it is a “Front for Corruption.” During UDF’s tenure, Keralam’s debt increased from ₹93,000 crore to ₹1.6 lakh crore, and under LDF rule, it has risen further to around ₹4.88 lakh crore
***************************
The government in Keralam has completely failed, and law and order has collapsed. According to NCRB data, in 2023, Keralam became the state with the highest crime rate in the country

Keralam is known as “God’s Own Country,” but today, when even God is not safe there, what will happen to the common people?

During elections, LDF and UDF compete over who will get more votes, but once in power, their competition shifts to who will indulge in more corruption

Who will protect Keralam from Jamaat-e-Islami, PFI, and SDPI? LDF and UDF will not take action against them because it would put their vote bank at risk
***************************
During the Congress government, Keralam used to receive only ₹46,000 crore, but between 2014 and 2024, ₹1.57 lakh crore 239% more has been provided for Keralam’s development compared to Congress

Along with infrastructure, connectivity in Keralam has also been significantly strengthened. While the state used to receive ₹372 crore annually in the railway budget between 2009 and 2014, it has now increased to ₹3,795 crore

Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh while addressing massive public rallies today on Wednesday in Paravur and Nedumangad in Keralam, accused both the LDF and UDF of deceiving the people of the state for decades, promoting corruption, and damaging the state’s economy. Shri Singh strongly criticized both fronts over issues such as scams, poor law and order, rising crime, unemployment, and migration. Highlighting the welfare schemes and development initiatives of the BJP-led Central Government, Shri Singh urged the people of Keralam to support the NDA and the Bharatiya Janata Party to bring about change in the state. During the event, candidates present on stage included Paravur candidate Sushri Valsala Prasannakumar, Kalamassery NDA candidate Shri M. P. Binu, Angamaly BJP candidate Shri Kuriakose, Perumbavoor NDA candidate Shri T. P. Varghese, Aluva NDA candidate Shri M. A. Brahmaraj, and Nedumangad BJP candidate Shri Yuvraj Gokul, along with other leaders.
Shri Rajnath Singh asserted that the talented and hardworking people of Keralam have earned respect across the world through their honesty, skills, and entrepreneurship. According to a report, people from Keralam are working in nearly 93% of the countries around the world today. Both the LDF and UDF have, for decades, deceived and betrayed the hardworking and honest people of Keralam. While their flags and election symbols may be different, their conduct, character, and thinking are the same. Both LDF and UDF have worked to divide society and have contributed to damaging Keralam’s economy. Shri Singh further mentioned that both have failed to fulfill their promises, broken the trust of the people, and promoted corruption. The people of Keralam, he added, do not vote to elect either LDF or UDF, but rather to remove one of them from power; however, unfortunately, the other automatically comes to power.
Shri Singh noted that the people of Keralam understand that LDF stands for “Loot, Division and Failure,” while UDF stands for “Untrustworthy, Dishonesty and Fraud.” While the ‘F’ in LDF stands for “Front,” in reality it is a “Front for Corruption.” The people of Keralam clearly remember the Karuvannur Bank scam, in which names of CPI(M) leaders had surfaced. Shri Rajnath Singh described it as a major betrayal of public trust and said that the people of Keralam deserve answers as to why their money was misused in such a manner. Referring to the film Ponniyin Selvan, it depicted how greed for gold can lead people to compromise morality and relationships. While the movie was fictional, he remarked that a real “Ponniyin Selvan” story unfolded in 2020 with the state-sponsored gold smuggling scam, in which names of individuals linked to the Chief Minister had also emerged. Under LDF rule, there is a long list of scams such as the AI camera scam, K-Fon project scam, and Life Mission scam, where public money was looted. He also mentioned that in a case related to Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited, even a family member of the Keralam Chief Minister has been accused of money laundering. UDF is no different from LDF, stating that its record too is filled with alleged scams such as the solar scam, bar bribery scam, Palarivattom bridge scam, and the palmolein oil import scandal.
BJP senior leader remarked that during elections, the LDF and UDF compete over who will get more votes from the people, but once in power, the competition shifts to who will indulge in more corruption. He added that Keralam is known as “God’s Own Country,” but today, even God is not secure there, raising concerns about the safety of ordinary citizens. The people of the country and Keralam are asking where the gold of the Sabarimala Temple has gone. Some leaders of the Communist Party were involved in stealing the gold, and that Congress leaders helped in selling the stolen gold. He also claimed that a photograph of the main accused in the case exists with a senior Congress leader. Those who have stolen gold from the temple doors and the Dwarapalaka idols will be shown the door out of power by the people of Keralam.
Shri Rajnath Singh remarked that today in Keralam, neither God nor human beings are safe. The Communist rule there reminds one of Joseph Stalin’s gulag system. According to him, ordinary people are unable to speak freely, and those who oppose them are killed. He referred to a 2016 incident in Kannur, where P. V. Sujith was brutally murdered in front of his mother, stating that this was not an isolated case. Across the world, communists have historically followed a path of violence and bloodshed, and in India too, since independence, they have been associated with violence. BJP and RSS workers in Keralam have faced decades of suffering. Shri Singh cited the case of Master Sadanandan, whose legs were severed by CPI(M) supporters, and alleged that communists have not spared even animals, referring to an incident in the 1990s when a snake park was allegedly set on fire after electoral defeat. Such groups can go to any extent for power and that their politics is rooted in violence. Communists have given Keralam an identity associated with violence, and that the time has come to change it.
Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh stated that the politics of LDF and UDF is based on appeasement. Everyone remembers the Munambam incident and how more than 600 families faced eviction due to decisions of the Waqf Board. It is unfortunate that instead of protecting the rights of these families, both LDF and UDF chose their vote banks and left the affected families to fend for themselves. The Waqf Amendment Bill has been brought precisely to fight such injustice, so that such situations do not arise across the country and the land of the poor is not taken away. However, both LDF and UDF have opposed it. The threat of extremism is rapidly increasing in Keralam and many youths have fallen prey to it, as both LDF and UDF continue to engage in appeasement politics. Shri Singh questioned who will protect Keralam from organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami, Popular Front of India, and Social Democratic Party of India. LDF and UDF will not act against such extremism due to concerns over their vote banks. If any party can protect Keralam from such divisive agendas, it is only the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Shri Rajnath Singh mentioned that the Congress openly supported organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami in the Nilambur Assembly by-election, even though Congress leader Oommen Chandy himself had described the organization as dangerous and anti-national. The Social Democratic Party of India is often said to be linked with the banned Popular Front of India, yet the Congress was preparing to win the Manjeswaram seat with its support. The party which claims to uphold secularism is now attempting to bring anti-national forces into mainstream politics. Such parties can go to any extent for power and that the Congress is willing to compromise even national interests for the sake of power. The people of Keralam have now made up their minds for change and that in the upcoming elections, the BJP will secure a decisive mandate. With the victory of Suresh Gopi in 2024, a historic shift began in Keralam’s politics, marking the first time the BJP won a Lok Sabha seat in the state. He also mentioned that the party has recently secured victory in local body elections in Thiruvananthapuram. This is only the beginning “Ithu thudakkam matram aanu.” He credited all these achievements to the dedicated Karyakartas of the RSS and the Bharatiya Janata Party in Keralam, who have worked with the spirit of “Nation First,” making immense sacrifices to strengthen the party.
BJP Senior leader noted that reports of the National Crime Records Bureau indicate that the Keralam government has completely failed and that the law-and-order situation is in poor condition. He stated that in 2023, Keralam recorded the highest crime rate among all states in the country. Cases of crimes against women and children are continuously increasing in Keralam, along with a steady rise in cybercrime. Referring to the National Family Health Survey, alcohol consumption in Keralam is among the highest today. A state once known for social awareness has now reached the top in crime rates and is grappling with substance abuse. Keralam, which was once recognized for its education, now sees its youth compelled to leave the state for studies and employment. Citing the Periodic Labour Force Survey, that unemployment in Keralam has reached nearly 30%, forcing lakhs of young people to migrate out of the state. Decades of LDF and UDF rule have pushed Keralam’s future into darkness.
Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that the condition of Paravur reflects the reality of Keralam. For years, the people here have been demanding a government college, but this demand has been completely ignored. Traditional livelihoods in the area are on the verge of disappearing, and the handloom industry in Chengmangalam, along with its workers, is still struggling. The Pokkali paddy fields have also been neglected, and the region has gained no benefit from the Muziris Heritage Project. The roads across the region are in a completely dilapidated state, and the Chathanad Bridge, Valluveli Bridge, and the associated approach roads have still not been constructed. Toxic waste from the industrial area in Alur has severely damaged the Periyar River, yet Congress leaders here remain entirely silent. The situation is so poor that, despite three announcements, the waste management plant at Varappuzha Market has still not become operational. The Keralam government has completely failed to preserve historic sites such as the Paravur Kacheri Maidan and the court building. Both the LDF and UDF have pushed Keralam into debt. Under UDF’s rule, Keralam’s debt increased from approximately ₹93,000 crore to around ₹1.6 lakh crore, and the LDF further worsened this situation. Today, Keralam’s debt has reached approximately ₹4.88 lakh crore. Total exports from Keralam, which were about ₹71,000 crore in 2019–20, fell to only ₹40,000 crore in 2024–25.
Union Defence Minister mentioned that both the LDF and UDF spread the false claim that Keralam is not receiving adequate funds from the Centre. In reality, when Congress was in power at the Centre, Keralam received only ₹46,000 crore. However, between 2014 and 2024, Keralam was allocated ₹1.57 lakh crore, more than 239% higher than what Congress had provided for the state’s development. The truth is that the state government has deliberately stalled the implementation of Central Government schemes in Keralam. Over 1.68 lakh families in the state benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, yet the Keralam government still refused to sign up for PMAY-2. The CAG has also raised questions regarding the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission, and Congress attempted to spread confusion over VBGiramji. In reality, whereas previously MGNREGA provided 100 days of work, today under the VBGiramji scheme, 125 days of work are being offered. Over the past 11 years, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, significant work has been done to improve citizens’ lives, successfully lifting over 37.8 crore people above the poverty line.
Shri Singh stated that until Keralam develops, India cannot be fully developed, which is why the Central Government has been continuously working on the development of Keralam. In 2025, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji dedicated the Vizhinjam International Seaport to Keralam, and work is ongoing to further enhance its capacity. Alongside infrastructure, efforts have also been made to improve connectivity in Keralam, and the state’s annual railway budget has increased tenfold. Between 2009 and 2014, Keralam received ₹372 crore per year, whereas today it has risen to ₹3,795 crore, and the state now has 100% railway electrification. To boost mining, processing, research, and manufacturing of strategic minerals, a Rare Earth Corridor is being developed. Under the Bharatmala project, investments of over ₹57,000 crore are being made in 20 highway projects spanning 593 kilometers. NH-66 is in its final phase, which will strengthen Keralam’s connectivity with the rest of the country and promote trade, tourism, and industry through the Kochi Port. For Keralam’s fishermen, ₹1,400 crore have been provided over the last five years, and more than 12,000 Farmer Credit Cards have been issued across the state to support them. Under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, 29 lakh farmers in Keralam have received assistance totaling ₹13,000 crore. Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, over 10 lakh women in Keralam have been provided assistance exceeding ₹444 crore.
BJP Senior leader observed that just as the Maha Kumbh Mela is organized in Prayagraj, a similar traditional event exists in Keralam called Mamankam, often referred to as the “Keralam Kumbh.” However, he stated that for nearly 250 years, this sacred event was not celebrated with grandeur. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji mentioned Mamankam in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, helping bring it to the masses and highlighting his respect for Keralam’s rich culture and heritage. This year, three out of five Padma Vibhushan awards were conferred upon eminent personalities from Keralam, reflecting the state’s high stature. The BJP always respects the mandate of the people and does not fight those of different ideologies through unconstitutional means. In contrast, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had dismissed the democratically elected Communist government of EMS Namboodiripad in Keralam, disregarding democratic norms, and that the same mindset continues in the Congress today. Congress continues to attack institutions, blaming EVMs or the Election Commission when it loses elections. Rahul Gandhi questions even the Speaker when prevented from making incorrect statements in Parliament and has a history of undermining institutions. In 2024, for the first time, the BJP formed a government in Odisha with a clear majority, and that in Thiruvananthapuram too, the BJP achieved a historic electoral victory. These developments indicate that public trust in the NDA and BJP is steadily increasing, and wherever the BJP goes, it creates new history. The next such record will be created in Keralam, where the BJP will form a government and script a new chapter.
Shri Rajnath Singh asserted that it is time to change the narrative shown in “The Kerala Story.” The story of Keralam should be one of development, progress, prosperity, and peace. Just yesterday, the NDA released its election manifesto, which promises two free LPG cylinders per year for poor families, and free cylinders on the occasions of Onam and Christmas. Women will receive ₹3,000 per month, and all senior citizens will also be provided this benefit. Ayushman Bharat cards will be issued to Malayali citizens to ensure free treatment up to ₹5 lakh, and 20,000 liters of water will be provided free every month. A high-speed corridor will be built from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur, and the first AIIMS in Keralam will be established under the BJP-NDA government. To support plantation farming, amendments will be made in land and forest laws, and every BPL family will receive ₹2,500 for grocery purchases. A time-bound CBI investigation will also be conducted in the Sabarimala gold theft case. Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh appealed to the people of Keralam to ensure victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party and the NDA, bringing meaningful change to the state.
